CULD is a leading international partnership operating in the broad field of integrated master-planning and landscape design. CULD’s buildings and masterplans around the world exemplify what CULD stands for – a new and creative integrated approach to the design and processes of Complex Urban Landscape Design. CULD is a European joint venture between Juurlink [+] Geluk and Jaakko van ‘t Spijker – led by partners Huub Juurlink, Cor Geluk, and Jaakko van’t Spijker – with offices in Amsterdam and Rotterdam.

Landscape Architect, Urban Planner

Having accomplished degrees in both landscape architecture and urbanism, over the course of numerous projects Huub Juurlink has developed a specific skillset of designing rich, atmospheric projects with a fine eye for detail. Huub is often characterized as a positivist, who finds the potentials and opportunities in even the most challenging projects. Huub has headed the urbanism department of the Rotterdam Architecture Academy and has been part of the Architecture Review Committee of the City of Rotterdam.

Ir. Jaakko van 't Spijker, MSc.

Architect

After graduating from Delft Technical University in 1996, in over 15 years of professional experience as an architect and urban planner, Jaakko van ´t Spijker has developed a broad portfolio of large-scale projects. Jaakko’s specific interest is the interaction between buildings and public space. Placemaking and generating authentic, friendly and warm atmospheres with identity, is what makes Jaakko tick. In the daily reality of projects, Jaakko is a team player who has proven to be a catalyzing and binding force in large project teams.

Cor Geluk, MUrb.

Landscape Architect, Urban Planner

After studying landscape architecture and urbanism Cor Geluk has developed his career, realizing complex integrated projects merging the realms of landscaping, planning and architecture. Over the last decade, Cor has developed a specific interest in integrated sustainability; embracing urban areas and landscapes as natural, energetic and social and eco-systems. Cor likes interaction in groups and processes and is a strong process leader. Cor is member of the board of Rotterdam Festivals and is a member of the professional assessment commission of the Rotterdam Architecture Academy.
